Dolphins, whales, sea turtles and manta rays swim in clear blue tropical waters and where
Humpback whales come from two different hemispheres to have their babies and breed.
There is no other place like it in the world.
Costa Rica enjoys the longest season of Humpback Whales in the world as we get
migrations from both North and South America. Pods of hundreds and even thousands
of dolphins enjoy the warm, tropical waters here. It is truly one of the best places to
experience dolphins and whales as we have so many different species close to shore.
July through December are the best months of the year for Whale Watching.
Guided Tours are available everyday and can include snorkeling, plane boarding, a visit
to the Osa Wildlife Sanctuary, snacks and drinks. Tours leave from the public pier in
Puerto Jimenez between 7:30 and 8:00am and return around 12:30 - 1:00pm. Prices
depend on the provider and boat and if you choose to visit the Sanctuary, if you would
like to take this tour you should budget $80 Per Person.
